Councilor Adedeji Oshinowo distributes Christmas package to residents

The first term councilor representing IKosi Oke “Ward C” area of IKosi Isheri Local Council Development Area, Adedeji Oshinowo, has distributed some items to his community member as we celebrate Christmas.

The items include chicken, rice, solo grants to residents.

It would be recalled that Oshinowo’s who recently host budget stakeholder meeting with his community, provided free health care, in additional to education writing materials, hand sanitizers and other items within one month office.

However, some constituent members who spoke at the Christmas program condemned the gift items distributed by Oshinowo, saying his responsibility is not to be sharing money and materials to the people but to push for the basic needs of the Community at the Local Government and carryout oversight functions among others.

Some applauded him for going out of his way to giveback to his community, which was described as the first of its kind in the ward.

While addressing his constituents at IKosi Oke area of Ikosi Ketu during his privately sponsored Christmas programme thanked the good of his community for their unflinching supports.

He said the Christmas chicken, rice, among others was just to show token of love to his people.

He informed the residents that their request during the recent organized Town Hall/budget stakeholder forum held few weeks ago has been delivered to the council chairman for the necessary consideration.

While extending his season’s greetings message to the residents, he reiterated on the impact Omicron variants has and implored them to always adhere to Covid-19 protocol and use non- pharmaceutical products to curtail the spread.

Honourable Adebayo David, who was one of the beneficiaries while speaking to the newsmen on the sidelines, commended the lawmaker for providing succour to the people during the festive season. He added,” it’s impressive and admirable.”

A representative of people with hard of hearing community, Mrs. Sanni Ngozi whose daughter interpreted her expression to our correspondent, thanked the lawmaker for reaching out to their People.

“I am happy, and we thank our councilor for this. May God continue to give him Wisdom and knowledge to continue to lead the good people of his Community.”
