Hon Femi Saheed Bags Grassroot Politician of the Year Award at the Timeline Awareness Anniversary

The Lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly was a recipient of Recognition along with Personalities in Governance, Media, Business, Banking, Sport and Religious sectors on Wednesday 23rd March, 2022 at Sheraton Hotel and Tower, Ikeja.

The 4th edition of Timeline Awareness Initiative Lecture/Award was put together by Globestrides Media, Publisher of TimelineNG and was themed “Imperatives of Harmonious Working Relationship Between Arms of Government, a Key Ingredient in the Success of Lagos State Government”.

Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Deputy Governor of Lagos State who was ably represented by the Honorable Commissioner for Information, Mr Gbenga Omotosho was the Guest Speaker. In his speech, Dr Hamzat submitted that the constitution provides for separation of powers and responsibilities for the Executive, Judiciary and Legislative arms of government to achieve inclusive governance as well as checks and balances. He revealed that Lagos State Government is witnessing progressive development due to harmonious relationship that exists among the three arms of government.

At the Award presentation session, Hon Femi Saheed was honoured with “Grassroot Politician of the Year Award” for his contribution to the upliftment of lives of people, quality representation and education of youths in his Constituency.

Receiving the award, the Honorable thanked the Publisher of TimelineNG and Host of the event, Mr Yusuf Adeoye for finding him worthy of the recognition. He noted that the honour will encourage him and other recipients to improve on impacting positively on the lives of people and the constituency they are representing.

Other recipients of awards at the event were Lagos State Government, Lagos State House of Assembly, Sen Orji Uzor Kalu, Hon Babajimi Benson, Dr Siju Iluyomade, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe and others.
