The Executive Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo has flagged a free medical outreach, aimed at improving the health status of residents in the locality.
The program which took place at the fore court of Comprehensive and Community High Schools,Agidi,Alapere, witnessed free drugs distribution and comprehensive screening of patients for Tuberculosis, Renal issues, Blood Pressure, Hepatitis, Urinalysis, Weight Check , blood sugar level amongst others.
Speaking at the program, the chairman noted that the free medical outreach was in line with the ‘We Lift’ vision of his administration, which is to lift residents out of their various challenges, stressing that it conforms with the sustainable goals agenda of the United Nations.
While commending the Department of Health, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA for their massive contributions towards the success of the program, Mayor Dele hinted that the LCDA is designing a scheme that will ensure residents have accessed to free health care , noting that the program will start with 1,500 individuals.
On her part, the Medical Officer, Health Department, Dr. Mariam Oshodi revealed that the exercise was geared towards providing an alternative access towards healthcare delivery.
She further posited that with the men, materials and equipment available, the program will cater for no less than 2,500 individuals.
