• Says it is reward for creating Agboyi-Ketu LCDA in face of intimidation
In a bid to provide eye-catching displays for residents, commuters and passers-by, the Executive Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has unveiled a record-breaking largest billboard to showcase the presidential agenda of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The billboard, strategically located at Ketu Busstop, Ikorodu Road, will also feature other All Progressives Congress candidates entitled to be voted for by the electorate in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.
They are the All Progressives Congress Governorship Candidate, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu; Senatorial Candidate, Lagos East, Senator Tokunbo Abiru; House of Representatives Candidate, Hajia Kafilat Ogbara; and House of Assembly Candidate, Hon. Femi Saheed.
The chairman, who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Opeyemi Ahmed, noted that the large-scale print advertisement was to ensure residents connect with the unique messages of the party’s candidates.
The council boss further noted that the display was also to show special appreciation to the former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for creating Agboyi-Ketu LCDA in the face of intimidation and in spite of the monumental threat being unleashed by the then Federal Government.
“For us in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, this upcoming presidential election in 2023 is for us to show our unique appreciation to that special individual who created Agboyi-Ketu LCDA in the face of intimidation.
“Indeed, that exceptional political will and courageous vision exhibited by the APC presidential candidate during his tenure as Lagos State Governor has demonstrated his unique capacity and sagacious ability to break all impending barriers in transforming our country to a loftier height.”
Mayor Dele further affirmed that the creation of the local government has brought about massive dividends of democracy at the grassroots level in Lagos State.
“The success story of Lagos State as a huge centre for development cannot be complete without identifying the massive contributions of the thirty-seven Local Council Development Areas created by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The creation has ensured all parts of the state are connected to the development grid. Thus, we are confident that the APC presidential candidate will replicate this vision in a bigger way to ensure every part of the country will witness even development.”
