The Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has called on Nigerians to evaluate the public service records of the presidential candidates in order to make an informed choice for a better Nigeria.

Speaking at a Free Medical Mission program organized by Lagos State Health Management Agency in collaboration with Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Oshinowo noted that if the evaluation is carried out fairly, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s track record as Lagos State Governor will supersede those of the other presidential candidates.

Oshinowo referred to the other candidates as “lilliputians” in terms of performance and a practical definition of failed leadership. He pointed out that Tinubu’s “Jigi Bola” Free Healthcare Program, initiated during his reign as Lagos State Governor, has been transformed continuously by successive administrations in the state, which has transformed into the present “Ilera Eko” Initiative.

According to Oshinowo, the free medical mission program is another positive indicator of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s excellent performance. He encouraged the people of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA to be proud of illustrating a man of positive development.

While he commended the free healthcare programs over the years for improving the welfare and well-being of the people, Oshinowo stressed the importance of asking other presidential candidates what they have done during their public service moments. He called out Peter Obi, stating that he is a man running away from his past and has no landmark achievement to his credit.

Oshinowo accused Obi of propagating vague statistics and concocted statements to deceive Nigerians, adding that in terms of providing good governance, Obi doesn’t have any developmental record to showcase in Anambra State. He also mentioned that the only legacy Obi left in office was the mismanagement of Anambra state resources, which led to his impeachment.

The program was attended by several political figures, including the APC candidate for Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hajia Kafilat Ogbara, the APC candidate for Kosofe Constituency 2, Hon. Femi Saheed, Vice-chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mrs. Folake Kayode, and Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu APC, Hon. Sunday Odekomaya.

Mayor Dele Oshinowo’s call for Nigerians to appraise the public service records of the presidential candidates is a crucial one. With the 2023 presidential election drawing near, it is important for citizens to make informed choices based on the track records of the candidates.
