I met Abdulwaheed Omotayo Odunuga in 2014 in the build up to the 2015 Presidential Election, meeting him culminated in my joining Buhari Youth Organization (BYO) which he is the Lagos State Coordinator. We eventually became neighbors few years later.
In the last 8 years that I have known him, he is a committed, altruistic, honest and passionate individual who fight for the right of others.

My association with him open my eyes to the kind of individual he is, these are some of my experience:
His leadership and organisational skill shone in 2019 when the Transformer at Agboyi Road, Alapere Ketu got burnt. Despite pessimism from residents about quick replacement of the transformer by IkejaElectric, he coordinated and galvanize the residents and liased with IE to replace the burnt Transformer with a brand new one within 6 weeks without greasing any palm and without the community contributing a single dime.
I witnessed how compassionate and selfless he is during COVID-19 Pandemic. I worked with him in distribution of palliatives to the needy, on all our outings, the portion reserved for him usually ended up with others who needed it.
The aftermath of EndSARS protest demonstrated his administrative acumen. Like other part of Lagos where property were destroyed, Ketu was not spared. Despite the fact that he works in Kaduna, the chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mr Dele Osinowo, has implicit trust in him that he made him the chairman of the committee saddled with identifying and compensating victims who experience loss of property during the unfortunate incident. An exercise that he performed transparently to the satisfaction of everyone involved.
I did remember the Yeo-man job he did when house No 48, Agboyi Road got Burnt in November, 2018. He helped raised funds through his foundation and also worked tirelessly to bring to the attention of the Chairman of the LCDA, Mr Dele Osinowo the plight of the landlord and occupants of the house. His intervention ensure quick renovation of the building while tenants who were victims of the inferno were compensated.
There are other numerous interventions by him that space will not permit me to mention here. I can say without equivocation that he is a problem solver, a cheerful giver, a man with heart of gold whose door is always open.
It has been said that Politics is a call to service, I have no doubt that Comrade Abdulwaheed would make Kosofe Federal Constituency proud as he steps into the murky water of politics to represent our constituency.
I have never met anyone that has inspired me to be selfless and patriotic like him, may his tribe continue to increase in our poor Nation, where most people see politics as avenue for greed and avarice. Amen.
