The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) candidate for Kosofe Federal Constituency, Abdulwaheed Omotayo Odunuga for the third term, raised alarm over the continuous destruction of banners and posters of the party candidates in Kosofe.
This was contained in a statement titled “Desperation to Win the Election by All Means,” made available to the Kosofe Post on Tuesday.

Posters Destruction: Caution your supporters, Aroyewun urges political leaders in Kosofe
He said, “Four days ago, we posted pictures of some of our newly installed banners at strategic junctions and entrances along Magodo, Shangisha, CMD Road, and environs. It’s sad to see that these banners only lasted for 48 hours before the most desperate political party, her candidates, and their foot soldiers (thugs) destroyed them.
“Without mincing words, this wicked act actually confirmed their desperation to win the election by all means, having seen our party, the NNPP, as their biggest threat, especially in this Kosofe Federal Constituency.
“We can understand their frustrations, being that the NNPP is gaining momentum day by day while our candidates are obviously the people’s choice, so they begin to deploy violence tactics to frustrate us by tearing all our banners and posters everywhere we put or pasted them every now and then.
“We believe it’s only God Almighty who can enthrone. Demeaning and defacing opposition banners, posters, and other publicity materials does not guarantee that you will win the election.
“We believe that electorates and voters are not stupid; they know who they want and who they will vote for.” Tearing down our banners and posters cannot erase the good impressions that the NNPP and her candidates have created in the minds of the people of Kosofe Federal Constituency.
“We will neither stoop so low to this level of degradation nor deploy this kind of barbaric electioneering campaign tactics!” “We respect all our opponents and their candidates, so our party, the NNPP, and her candidates should be accorded the same respect by opposition parties.”
Abdulwaheed thanked the party’s teeming supporters for their firm belief in the Kosofe Agenda.
The Kosofe Post reports that this would be the third time that the banners and posters of NNPP candidates have been destroyed across Kosofe.
