The Oloworo of Oworo, HRM Oba Babatunde Saliu Elebo II, and Kosofe Development Committee Chairman have requested an Access Bank branch in Oworonshoki, an area of Lagos.

The Monarch made a call during the official commissioning of the newly constructed Oworonshoki Primary Healthcare Center on Wednesday.

The monarch complimented the financial institution for its impact on the lives of the people of his kingdom.

He said, “They don’t have to run to the General Hospital in Gbagada for treatment, for minor injuries or malaria, or for delivery. We’ve gone around the building to see all the things that have been provided. It is more of a hospital than just a health center. We thank them so much for this great opportunity given to us in our community, and we pray that they will continue to grow from strength to strength.”

The monarch appealed for a branch of the bank to domicile in Oworonshoki.

He said, “I still want them to come and build a bank for us in Oworonshoki because Oworonshoki has a very large population, and Oworonshoki is more residential than commercial. But many of our people go to different communities, go to different places to work, and they have money.”

Continuing, the monarch said, “We are not poor people in this community. Some people keep their money in their houses. But if we have banks here, if Access Bank can build us a branch in Oworonshoki, I can bet they will have so much money. We are fishermen; we are local people, but we are not poor; we are rich.”

Earlier, during his welcome address, Kosofe Committee Development Committee Chairman, Hon. Segun Babatunde, thanked the financial institution and requested an Access Bank branch in the community.

He further assured the bank that Oloworo of the Oworonshoki kingdom would provide land to build the structure.
