The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) candidate for the recently concluded Kosofe Federal Constituency race, Comrade Abdulwaheed Odunuga, has expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to his political ambition.

In a statement he signed yesterday, Odunuga thanked his supporters for being the backbone of his campaign activities, which lasted barely six months.

However, the candidate also alleged that his party’s name was omitted from the ballot papers for Saturday’s national assembly elections in the state.

He noted that it was quite unfortunate that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) almost made him pull out of the race when electorates started calling to report that they could not find the NNPP name on the ballot.

Odunuga commended everyone who went out of their way to educate the electorates, which helped him achieve the milestone recorded despite all forms of enticement, threat, intimidation, and harassment.

“Fortunately, our contest on the ballot had influenced the ruling party candidate to work on some roads and carry out some projects in Kosofe. Establishing a Kosofe with a better living standard has always been our goal,” Odunuga said.

He concluded his statement by thanking all those who stood by him during the quest, especially his campaign team and family. He assured the people of Kosofe that he would always be on the path of good governance for their benefit.
