The supporters of Kosofe constituency 1 lawmaker-elect and current chairman of the House committee on Education of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon, have intensified their call for sanctions against anti-party activities. This comes after Sanni extended an olive branch to his co-contestants shortly after being declared the winner of the House of Assembly election.

However, political developments after Sanni’s call have proven otherwise, as his supporters continue to call for discipline of All Progressives Congress (APC) members who worked against the party during the election, particularly those who defected to the Social Democratic Party and supported Lanre Carew.

Many have accused Sanni of being behind the recent attacks and the resolution of Lagos State House of Assembly Withdraws Letters of Government Appointees Without Due Process, which affected a member of Lagos State Audit Board Commission, Hon. Musiliu Aigoro. In addition, several special advisers and senior special assistants were suspended at Kosofe Local Government over anti-candidate and anti-party activities.

APC ward and local government executives from Kosofe who allegedly worked against the party during the election have been replaced, while a particular state official accused of anti-party activities has been running from pillar to post to save her seat.

Sanni’s supporters are unrelenting in their campaign against anti-APC activities and continue to call for sanctions against those who worked against the party during the election.
