Oloworo of Oworo Set to Celebrate 1st Anniversary in Grand Style

The Oloworo of Oworo area in Kosofe Local Government, Lagos, HRM Oba Babatunde Saliu Elebo Il, who received his appointment letter and staff of office from the Lagos State Government, is preparing to commemorate his 1st anniversary on the throne in a remarkable manner.

According to a report by The Kosofe Post, following the resolution of the Ajisegiri family’s case challenging the Bashir Oloruntohin Saliu Royal family over the vacant Oloworo Obaship stool, the Lagos State Government officially recognized and presented an appointment letter to Oba Babatunde Saliu on June 15, 2022.

To mark this significant milestone, the Oba Babatunde Saliu 1st Anniversary Local Organizing Committee has planned a 3-day event from Thursday, June 14 to Saturday, June 17, filled with a series of programs to make the anniversary truly memorable. Currently, the sales of the commemorative “Aso Ebi” uniform are underway, among other preparations.

The first anniversary celebration is expected to be graced by traditional leaders, political leaders, government functionaries, policymakers, captains of industry, youth groups, women, religious leaders, community leaders, white cap chiefs, and other prominent personalities in Lagos.

As previously reported by The Kosofe Post, Oba Babatunde Saliu ascended the throne of his forefathers after his father, Oba Bashir Oloruntoyin Saliu Elebo 1, passed away. In the one year of his reign, Oba Oloworo has actively initiated and facilitated numerous programs and projects aimed at the upliftment and development of his kingdom.
