In a heated exchange of words, Hon. Kalejaiye Afolabi, a prominent cabinet member of Agboyi Ketu LCDA, confronted Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs, South-West, Prince Kehinde Oladega, regarding his claims of victory in the 2023 general elections in Agboyi. The confrontation arose following online reports attributing the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the presidential and governorship elections to Ibrahim.

While extending his congratulations to Ibrahim for the commendation he received from the Speaker of the House of Representatives as the 9th National Assembly came to an end, Hon. Kalejaiye took the opportunity to shed light on the success achieved in Agboyi’s two federal wards. He emphasized that the triumph was the result of collective effort led by Mayor Dele Osinowo, the Executive Chairman of Agboyi Ketu LCDA, describing it as a team achievement.

Hon. Kalejaiye Afolabi stated, “Congratulations to my very good friend, Prince Oladega. However, it is important to put records in the right perspective. No individual can claim unilateral victory for the last general election; rather, it was a collective effort championed by Agboyi-Ketu residents under the chairmanship of Mayor Dele Oshinowo.”

The Kosofe Post, a local news outlet, reported that two federal wards in Agboyi, situated within Agboyi Ketu LCDA, along with one in Ikosi Isheri, were among the three wards out of the ten federal wards in Kosofe that played a pivotal role in delivering victory during the presidential election.
