In a bid to raise awareness about the importance of regular eye checkups, the Service Manager of The Eye Foundation Hospital’s Ikorodu Branch, Mr. Lasisi Wasiu, called for more attention to eye health during a follow-up visit by Kosofe Post correspondent.

Mr. Wasiu highlighted that people often neglect their eyes, not realizing the need for frequent checkups, just like they do for other routine health checks.
During the conversation, Mr. Wasiu emphasized the hazards of self-medication for eye-related issues, urging individuals to seek professional advice from an ophthalmologist before buying any eye medication from pharmacies.
He explained that incorrect and prolonged use of medications without proper guidance could lead to serious eye problems.
To promote eye health awareness, Mr. Wasiu encouraged the public to take advantage of free eye screenings whenever they are available.
He advised individuals to visit their preferred hospitals regularly for eye checkups and follow any medical advice given to them by the professionals.
In praise of philanthropist Prince Kazeem Balogun, who organized a successful free eye screening exercise in conjunction with The Eye Foundation Hospital, Mr. Wasiu lauded his commitment to supporting eye health in the community.
Prince Kazeem’s efforts have benefited numerous residents, providing free eye glasses, eye drops, and cataract surgeries to those in need.
