In a shocking incident on Thursday morning, an unidentified passer-by brought attention to a potentially disastrous situation on the Alapere pedestrian bridge, connecting Kosofe Local Government and Agboyi Ketu LCDA in Lagos State. The passer-by’s alarming discovery was captured in a clip shared by Kosofe Post.

According to the concerned individual, the Alapere pedestrian bridge has suffered severe damage, likely caused by a container truck collision overnight. The bridge, which spans across the busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, has developed dangerous cracks, and there are fears that it could collapse at any moment, posing a grave risk to the safety of pedestrians and motorists alike.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwoolu was made aware of the distressing situation through the video clip. The passer-by’s plea for immediate action has caught the attention of the governor, and he is now urged to intervene and avert potential disaster.

In response to the incident, the passer-by has called upon Agboyi Ketu LCDA Executive Chairman, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, and other stakeholders in Kosofe to join forces and bring the issue to the governor’s notice. Collaborative efforts are essential to ensure the safety and welfare of the local community.

As of now, authorities are actively trying to reach Mr. Oke-Osanyintolu, Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), to coordinate a prompt and effective response to the pressing situation.
