Education and Welfare: Ojota Councilor’s Impactful Initiatives

In a recent interview held in Kosofe, Hon. Baruwa Sulaymon, the Councilor representing Ojota, Kosofe area of Lagos, shared remarkable accomplishments achieved during his two-year tenure with the Kosofe Post. The Councilor’s unwavering commitment to education and community welfare has earned him seven recognition awards, further solidifying his impact on the local populace.

Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to serve his community, Hon. Baruwa highlighted his dedication to education. Under his guidance, numerous educational support initiatives have flourished. He facilitated GCE and JAMB forms for residents through the collaboration of Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe. Additionally, Hon. Baruwa organized and participated in educational seminars, emphasizing the significance of academic dedication and moral conduct.

“I love education deeply, and it has been my lifelong priority,” stated Hon. Baruwa, who previously served as a school Headmaster and later as the President of Tai Solarin College of Education. Leveraging his experience, he distributed Free National Diploma slots to deserving individuals within his community.

The Councilor’s influence extended beyond education, as he extended a helping hand to the less privileged. His welfare packages, including financial aid ranging from N2,000 to N10,000, have provided crucial assistance to those in need. Furthermore, Councilor Baruwa responded to community requests, delivering a public addressing system to a local mosque and distributing over 200 life-chickens to residents during the holiday season.

Assessing the administration of Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Hon. Baruwa commended the Chairman’s dedication, intelligence, and hard work. As part of his role, Councilor Baruwa ensured the proper utilization of funds for various projects initiated by the Chairman, emphasizing that the community had benefited from their endeavors.
