LGNA International, a renowned multi-media and advocacy company dedicated to promoting good governance and excellence in public administration, has extended a special invitation to interested public officers for its upcoming International seminar on Tourism and Development. The seminar, set to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, holds immense promise for enhancing knowledge and strategies in the tourism sector.

The announcement was conveyed in a statement released by Tunde Jakande, the CEO of LGNA International. The CEO emphasized that the world’s increased connectivity has turned it into a global village, with tourism playing a pivotal role in facilitating this interconnectedness.

In his statement, Jakande underscored the economic importance of tourism, stating that it has evolved into a major revenue generator for numerous countries, often constituting a significant portion of foreign currency earnings. Given this significance, countries are increasingly recognizing the need to unlock their tourism potential and adapt to the current global dynamics.

Jakande highlighted the proactive efforts of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who has championed tourism development through various initiatives. He mentioned that Tourism departments were established across the 57 local government councils and development centers to create awareness and drive tourism exploration at the grassroots level.

The CEO emphasized that LGNA International has meticulously designed a program that aligns with the Governor’s vision. Furthermore, the choice of Kenya as the seminar’s venue is strategic, as Kenya stands among the premier tourist destinations in Africa.

The seminar, slated to run from October 22nd to 27th, will take place at the Ibis Hotel Nairobi. Attendees will have the chance to not only benefit from the knowledge shared by relevant tourism agencies in Kenya but also explore the renowned safaris and wildlife of the region.
