In a heartfelt gathering at the Ronnie Dee Event Centre on Iju Road, friends, family, colleagues, and associates bid farewell to the extraordinary life of Mrs. Florence Olufunke Falemu. The event, held on Friday, December 15th, 2023, celebrated the remarkable journey of a rare gem who touched the lives of many during her 89 years on earth.
The ceremony commenced with a solemn funeral service, culminating in Mama’s final resting place at the Ikoyi Cemetery. Following this, guests were treated to a memorable reception at the event venue, where sumptuous meals and soothing live music created an atmosphere of both reflection and celebration.

Guests seized the opportunity to share their thoughts on Mama’s enduring legacy. Hon Samuel Olarenwaju Adebayo, President of Succour Health and Education Foundation, a close associate to the family, highlighted Mama’s profound impact. He commended Mama’s children for embodying the values they learned, becoming blessings to others. Sharing a personal experience, he recounted how one of Mama’s sons provided shelter and support when he faced adversity abroad, prompting his return from America to join the family in bidding farewell.

Mrs. Mobolaji Fowowe, one of Mama’s daughters, painted a portrait of her mother as a selfless woman guided by a deep sense of faith. She emphasized Mama’s humanitarian service, urging everyone to follow in her footsteps by being a blessing to the less privileged in society.
Adding to the heartfelt testimonials, daughter-in-law Olamide Falemu described Mama as a loving mother with an open heart for neighbors and guests. Mama’s enduring qualities of perseverance, reliance, and dedication to work were acknowledged, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew her.
