Mayor Dele Oshinowo presents Cheque for Scholarship to 7year-old amputee, Boluwatife Fafore

It would be recalled that during an empowerment program organized by Obafemi Durosimi Foundation precisely 11th December, 2021, the First Citizen of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo offered an attendee, a 7year-old amputee, Master Boluwatife Fafore a scholarship that will cover his primary school education.

The awardee was born with congenital amputation.

Today, the promise was fulfilled as the Council Chairman through his deputy, Mrs. Folake Kayode presented a cheque of 192,400 Naira to Isaacville Nursery/Primary, School, Ketu.

The amount presented which will cover his tution fees, school uniforms and books for the present session and next; 2022/2023 session, formed a part of the scholarship package.

Speaking during the presentation, the Vice-chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mrs. Folake Kayode noted that the gesture was to provide educational support for the little boy, stressing that his present condition is not a barrier for him not to become great in life.

Earlier, the Special Adviser on Public Policy and Development, Mr. Wole explained that the money will enable the awardee to pursue his academic dreams as well as serve as financial relief to his parents.

Mrs. Comfort Asuquo, the Head Teacher of the School expressed appreciation to the council authority, noting that the act of kindness of the present administration will never be forgotten.

Also present at the event was the Head of Department, Education and Library Services, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mrs. Ajasa Olufunke.
