Hon. Femi Saheed, the lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, exceeded expectations as he distributed not just 200 but an additional 300 UTME forms to indigent students of Agboyi Ketu LCDA and Ikosi Isheri LCDA.
The event, marked by determination and zeal from the students, underscored Saheed’s dedication to providing quality education for the youth in his constituency. In a keynote address, he emphasized the importance of hard work, academic excellence, and the pursuit of professionalism. Saheed encouraged the beneficiaries to distinguish themselves among their peers, citing respect and success as natural outcomes of dedication and studiousness.
Highlighting his previous educational initiatives, Saheed shared the story of rewarding a law student with 1.5 million for exceptional performance, urging all to emulate such success not just for monetary gains but as a means to effect positive change within the society.

All participants underwent screening to ensure possession of O-level results before proceeding with their UTME registration. The initiative received praise from APC Chairman of Agboyi Ketu LCDA, Hon. Odekomaya Adeyemi, who deemed it a step in the right direction towards nurturing future leaders. He encouraged beneficiaries to seize the opportunity to learn and prepare for the challenges of life.
The APC Vice Chairman of Ikosi Isheri LCDA, Shakiru Balogun expressed no surprise at Saheed’s impactful contributions, lauding the lawmaker for consistently changing the narrative in his constituency. Beneficiaries, in turn, expressed gratitude for the rare privilege, recognizing the UTME forms as visas to enter into universities and avenues to further their education.
In an exclusive interview, Hon. Femi Saheed, spoke about the program’s significance, emphasizing that education is the bedrock of society. He highlighted the government’s continued investment in education to produce skilled professionals and lawmakers, creating a functional country.
As the program concluded with light music, all beneficiaries were directed to Mictec International CBT Centre, Ojota, to complete the remaining part of the registration. Hon. Femi Saheed expressed optimism about the students bringing their A-game in the upcoming examination and assured of rewarding excellent performers.
