Agboyi-Ketu LCDA to Witness Healthcare Transformation with Mascara Health Centre Revitalization

In a bid to prioritize the health and well-being of residents, the administration of Mayor Dele Oshinowo in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering sustainable partnerships with various entities. Mayor Dele Oshinowo reiterated this commitment during a meeting at the council headquarters, where Optiva Capital Partners Limited expressed its intention to revitalize the Mascara Health Centre in Ketu.

The Mascara Health Centre, a cornerstone of local healthcare in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, is poised to undergo significant development with the intervention of Optiva Capital Partners Limited. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for March 22 to mark the commencement of this transformative project.

Chairman Oshinowo, in welcoming the representatives of Optiva Capital Partners Limited, emphasized the administration’s dedication to community transformation. He outlined the administration’s vision, emphasizing its people-centric approach to governance and its determination to see ongoing projects through to completion.

Mayor Dele Oshinowo reassured residents of the LCDA that the administration’s proactive work ethic would persist until the end of his tenure, promising the completion of all ongoing and planned projects. Highlighting key initiatives, he announced plans for the commissioning of multiple infrastructure projects, including administrative buildings, an ICT hub, housing projects, recreational centers, and crucial road construction projects such as the upcoming Irawo Road project.

During the visit, Nduneche Ezurike, Group Head of Optiva Capital Partners Limited, commended Chairman Oshinowo for his commitment to development, pledging further support for projects in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA as a testament to his exemplary leadership.

Jennifer Ethagbe, the project manager of Optiva Capital Partners Limited, provided insights into the scope of the Mascara Health Centre revitalization project. She outlined plans for comprehensive renovations and expansions aimed at enhancing patient care facilities, including the addition of bed spaces and outpatient sections to streamline healthcare services.

Addressing concerns about patient safety during the renovation period, Dr. (Mrs.) Mariam Oshodi, the Medical Officer of Health for Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, assured residents that temporary healthcare facilities would be available. She highlighted the collaboration with Senator Tokunbo Abiru, which facilitated the establishment of a mini hospital building within the premises of the Local Government Area Office in Ketu, providing essential healthcare services during the renovation phase.
