Dele Kamal Oluoje, the People Democratic Party’s 2019 candidate for Kosofe Constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has ventured into online content creation, joining the growing community of skit makers in Nigeria. The former politician, who contested against the late Hon. Tunde Braimoh, has transitioned to the digital space alongside his family, showcasing their comedic talents in entertaining video content.
In a recent 18-second video posted by his brother-in-law Omojola Seun Joseph, Dele Kamal Oluoje was seen attempting to open his home mailbox when he caught sight of a lady’s backside. He momentarily abandoned his task to give chase, only to be left speechless upon realizing the lady was pregnant.
The emergence of skit makers in Nigeria reflects a growing trend of utilizing digital platforms for entertainment and income generation, particularly among young people facing high unemployment rates. With over 63 percent of the population living in multidimensional poverty and an unemployment rate of 33 percent, many Nigerians are turning to their talents and the digital space to earn a living.
