In a recent development within the political landscape of Kosofe constituency 2 at Lagos State House of Assembly, tensions escalated as Hon. Sanni Babatunde Okanlawon, representing the constituency 2, Supporter Oloye Seun salami called upon fellow lawmaker Hon. Femi Saheed to address allegations and comparisons raised by a constituent, comrade Aliu Alarape. The discourse primarily centered around evaluating Saheed’s performance in comparison to his late predecessor, Barrister Tunde Braimoh.

Seun Salami, also known as Oloye, emphasized the importance of public office holders embracing the principles of service and accountability. He highlighted the necessity for lawmakers to maintain a strong connection with their constituents, addressing their needs beyond legislative duties. Salami underscored the significance of empathy, accessibility, and genuine concern for the welfare of the people in earning respect and admiration.

Responding to Salami’s remarks, Ademola Akinremi, media aide to Hon. Femi Saheed, refuted the allegations, stating that Saheed has consistently engaged with constituents, addressing their concerns and needs promptly. Akinremi dismissed the accusations as politically motivated falsehoods, urging Salami to discern truth from manipulation.

However, Salami denied claims made by Akinremi, sparking further controversy within the constituency. Despite their shared affiliation with the Justice Forum led by Kosofe APC Chieftain Otunba Bushira Alebiosu, the discord between Saheed and Salami transcends mere political differences, suggesting underlying tensions within the party.
