As part of Nigeria’s 64th Independence celebration, Ambassador Badejo Moyosore, the Labour Party’s aspiring councillor for Ward C Araromi Ifako Soluyo-Gbagada, Lagos, organized a free dental and medical outreach for his community.
The initiative, which provided discounted dental treatments, free toothpaste donations, and blood pressure checks, was aimed at giving back to society during challenging times. Moyosore explained that the outreach was his way of celebrating Independence Day with the community, emphasizing the importance of good health.
“Today, we are not only celebrating Nigeria’s independence but also ensuring that people can smile freely. A healthy smile is key, especially in these tough times,” he said.
Moyosore noted that the outreach aligns with his agenda if elected as councillor, pledging to prioritize health services for his constituents. The aspiring councillor expressed his delight at the turnout, adding, “If people don’t have good teeth, they cannot smile for independence.”
One of the beneficiaries, Mr Keneddy at the free dental medical services thanked Ambassador Badejo Moyosore, said the free dental service was a well thought for this community especially when a lot of people do not have free access to free medical care and check-up.
According to Keneddy, this outreach is for people to come in and get free medical care and check on their dental especially for me that I haven’t done dental for a while. So It is really an appreciative effort.
