In a bid to improve health outcomes for senior citizens, the Moyo Ogunlewe Empowerment Foundation, established by Kosofe Local Government’s Executive Chairman, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, is launching a groundbreaking free house-to-house primary healthcare service for residents aged 60 and above.
The programme, designed to bring accessible healthcare to the doorstep of elderly residents, will kick off at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 21, 2024, under Olojojo Bridge in Oworonshoki. The first beneficiaries hail from five Community Development Associations (CDAs): Adebare, Itesiwaju, Ifesowapo, Okenla, and Oreofe.
This initiative marks the beginning of a broader plan to extend healthcare services across all 130 CDAs in Kosofe. Barrister Ogunlewe’s commitment to grassroots development and public health is expected to reshape primary healthcare delivery within the local government area, ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the care they need right at their doorstep.
