Supporters of Samiat Bada, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area, have ramped up their campaign efforts to position her as the next chairmanship candidate for Kosofe Local Government. As political momentum builds, Bada’s loyalists are advocating for her vision of transformative governance that promises to elevate community development across multiple sectors.

Solomon Ige, Bada’s personal driver turned cabinet member in Ikosi Isheri, recently released a statement urging residents to rally behind her candidacy. “Let’s jointly build a more robust and better Kosofe together!” Ige stated, emphasizing a commitment to bolstering primary education, healthcare services, security, human capacity building, and more. He underscored that their vision includes empowering youth and the elderly, engaging small and medium business owners, and promoting Kosofe’s cultural heritage.

However, Ige’s statement also hinted at potential intra-party conflicts as the political race heats up. He noted that the current Chairman, Moyosore Ogunlewe, who is in his first term, may face formidable challengers if the party opts for an open and fair selection process over internal imposition.

Among those eyeing the chairmanship seat is Honourable Abiodun Ogungbo, along with other prominent figures from Kosofe Constituency 2. These contenders have pledged to implement policies that prioritize the welfare of the residents and foster community-centric development if elected in the upcoming polls.
