The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially cleared Olohungbebe Queen to contest in the upcoming chairmanship primaries for Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), following a review by the party’s post-screening appeals committee.

Queen’s name was initially omitted from the list of cleared aspirants after the first screening exercise, sparking speculation within party ranks. Although no official reason was provided for her earlier disqualification, rumours circulated about inconsistencies in her documentation, particularly regarding the spelling of her name.

When approached by Kosofe Post following the initial screening setback, Queen declined to comment on the circumstances surrounding her disqualification.

However, a newly released report by the APC Lagos State Post-Screening Appeals Committee, chaired by Hon. Babatunde Ogala (SAN, OFR), updated her status to “Successful,” effectively reinstating her candidacy.

The committee’s report addressed appeals from several aspirants across different LGAs and LCDAs, leading to the reversal of some disqualifications and the affirmation of others.

Queen’s clearance is expected to reshape the dynamics of the race in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA as the APC primaries approach.
