The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially announced Hon. Ganiu Fatai, popularly known as YOGA, as the Vice Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) under the Kosofe Local Government.

Fatai, who currently serves as the Secretary to the Local Government in Agboyi-Ketu, was listed among the vice chairmanship candidates for the 2025 local government elections in a recently released publication by the Lagos State APC, confirming his nomination for a second term.

Prior to his nomination, Fatai was a prominent contender in the hotly contested Agboyi-Ketu LCDA chairmanship race. However, Hon. Adetola Oyedele Abubakar, the current Council Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, clinched the party’s ticket after defeating 12 other aspirants in the APC primary held on May 10.

Party sources say Fatai’s selection as vice chairman is part of broader efforts to maintain party cohesion following the keenly contested primaries. His administrative experience and existing rapport within the council are expected to bolster the APC’s chances ahead of the 2025 local government polls.
