Prince Kazeem Balogun, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Councillorship candidate for Ward A in Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has commissioned a rehabilitated borehole on Adetayo Street, off Oyebanjo Solarin Street, Elebiju, Ketu.
The once-abandoned facility, now fully operational, is expected to supply up to 12,000 litres of clean water daily, offering a much-needed relief to residents struggling with water access.
At the official commissioning, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, the Member representing Kosofe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, lauded Balogun for what she described as a clear demonstration of grassroots responsiveness.
“This is a practical example of what we mean by service to the people,” Ogbara said. “The APC remains committed to meeting the needs of our communities through purposeful and people-driven leadership.”
Prince Balogun, while speaking to journalists at the event, reiterated his commitment to sustainable development in the ward.
“For over six years, I have worked to initiate projects that directly impact lives,” he stated. “I appeal to the good people of Ward A to support me in the coming election so we can scale our impact using government platforms and resources.”
The commissioning was also attended by Mrs. Adetola Abubakar, the APC Chairmanship candidate for Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, who used the occasion to outline her development plan for the council.
“Good governance is about creating opportunities and improving lives,” she said. “With my eight-point agenda built on the 3E framework—Engagement, Execution, and Evaluation—I will ensure every part of our LCDA benefits from inclusive growth.”
The revived water facility is among several community-focused initiatives emerging ahead of the July 12 local government elections, as candidates step up their engagements with residents in a bid to secure grassroots support.
