In a grand commissioning ceremony marked by emotion and accomplishment, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, the outgoing Executive Chairman of Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), inaugurated five major projects that underscore his administration’s eight-year legacy of transformation.

The event drew notable dignitaries including the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, political stakeholders, and enthusiastic residents, all gathered to honour Oshinowo’s strides in reshaping the local government.

Reflecting on his two-term leadership, Oshinowo described Agboyi Ketu in 2017 as a council brimming with untapped potential. Today, he said, it stands as a thriving urban community. “Our people deserve the best. Every step we took was to match their aspirations with visible results,” he noted.

Among the projects unveiled is the Otunba Bushura Alebiosu Multipurpose Building—a modern 84-room facility that promises to elevate community living standards. Other projects commissioned include improved road networks, new schools, upgraded healthcare facilities, housing estates, administrative buildings, and revamped markets—all testament to a development-focused agenda.

Newly elected chairman, Hon. Adetola Aduni Abubakar, lauded Oshinowo’s achievements and pledged continuity in delivering people-oriented governance. “We’re not starting from scratch. We are building on a solid foundation of service and transformation,” she affirmed.

Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, the pioneer chairman of Agboyi Ketu, commended Oshinowo’s vision and drive, saying the area has moved from rural obscurity to urban relevance under his watch.
Governor Sanwo-Olu praised the outgoing chairman’s performance and restated his administration’s readiness to support chairmen committed to progress at the grassroots.
