The former Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has officially announced his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives, representing Kosofe Federal Constituency.

In a statement unveiling his political ambition, Oshinowo highlighted his record at the grassroots level, describing his tenure as a benchmark in local governance. He emphasized that his administration delivered tangible results that improved lives and fostered hope across Agboyi-Ketu and the wider Kosofe area.

“We didn’t just make promises; we did the work. And that work was seen and felt,” Oshinowo said, citing interventions across critical sectors that transformed the development landscape. He described his government’s achievements as “best in class,” underscoring consistent delivery and responsiveness to constituents’ needs.

Turning to his new political goal, Oshinowo stated that Kosofe deserves stronger and more effective representation at the federal level. He pledged to leverage his executive experience to contribute meaningfully to lawmaking and policy development that will benefit residents.

“I have never disappointed, and I will not start now. This is about showing what true representation looks like—purposeful, visible, and impactful,” he said.

Oshinowo called on constituents to support his bid, promising to sustain and expand the legacy of development established during his tenure. He assured that Kosofe would witness even greater progress with stronger representation at the National Assembly.

Political observers note that his declaration marks the start of what is expected to be a competitive race for the Kosofe Federal Constituency seat, as political activities gather momentum ahead of the next general elections.
