Yeye Oge-Designate, Chief Dorcas Adeyinka, Mourns Ologudu, Oba Nojeemdeen Fashola

Chief Dorcas Adeyinka of the House of TMG, the Yeye Oge-designate of Ogudu Land, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Ologudu of Ogudu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Nojeemdeen Fashola.

The monarch’s death, reported on Wednesday, has continued to draw tributes from residents, associates, and traditional stakeholders within and beyond the community.

Reacting to the development, Adeyinka took to her official page to mourn the late king, describing him as both a revered monarch and a father figure.

“With profound sorrow, I share the news of the passing of my beloved father, His Royal Majesty, Oba Nojeemdeen Fashola, the Ologudu of Ogudu Land,” she wrote.

“Baba ti waja… my father has gone to find eternal rest.

“He was far more than a monarch; he was our foundation, our compass, and a steady source of strength for our family and the entire Ogudu community. His reign embodied peace, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to the progress of our land.

“Ogudu has lost a remarkable king, and I have lost a cherished father.

“May Almighty Allah grant him Aljanah Firdaus and forgive all his shortcomings.

“Details regarding funeral arrangements will be shared in due course. It is a celebration of life. Baba was 83 years old.”

It would be recalled that the late monarch had earlier conferred a chieftaincy title on Adeyinka as Aare Yeye Tayese of Ologudu land area of Kosofe Local Government in 2024, before recently elevating her to the position of Yeye Oge of Ogudu Land, pending formal installation.

As tributes continue to pour in, residents have described the late Oba as a symbol of dignity, wisdom, and progressive leadership whose reign left a lasting impact on Ogudu Land.
