…Samiat Bada bags Oluomo of Kosofe Chieftaincy title
His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Oba Alamu Oloyede Kehinde, the Onikosi of Ikosi, Kosofe Land in Lagos State, on Sunday assembled prominent Nigerians to celebrate God’s faithfulness and protection at his 15th year anniversary coronation.
Politicians, businessmen and traditional leaders from all across the state honoured the king inside the popular CMD open field, Shangisha, Kosofe.
The Executive Chairman of IKosi Isheri Lcda, Mayoress Samiat Bada, who doubles as the Chief host, was conferred the Oluomo of Kosofe chieftaincy title alongside other chiefs.
While welcoming the numerous guests that graced the glamorous anniversary, she thanked the celebrant for his unflinching support of her administration. She made a passionate appeal to the Lagos State Government to build a befitting palace for the revered monarch.
“May I also take this opportunity to welcome our people, guests, and friends to our Royal father anniversary. “Enjoy your stay,” she submitted.
The Monarch, in his address, said today marks the 15th anniversary of the ceremony of his coronation and ascension to the throne of his forefathers.
“On behalf of the entire people of Ikosiland, I am indeed grateful to God Almighty for His faithfulness, love, care, mercy, strength, support, inspiration, protection, and guidance towards me and my people in the past years, with the assurance that he will continue to lead us to higher levels of success and significance for the common benefit of the people of IKosi land, Kosofe, Lagos State, and our nation, Nigeria.”
He further expressed his profound gratitude to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwoolu, Senator representing Lagos East senatorial District, Adetokunbo Abiru, APC National leader, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola, Ex-Gov. Akinwumi Ambode, Kosofe Council of traditional leaders, and the Chief Host, Mayoress Samiat Bada, among others, for their respective support.
Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwoolu, was ably represented by Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Chief Chieftaincy Matters, Honourable Bayo Osiyemi, while Hon. (Prince) Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon (LAHA) and wife, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, represented by Saheed Ibikunle, APC Kosofe Federal Constituency candidate, Kafilat Ogbara, IKosi Isheri LCDa Chairman, Mayoress Samiat Bada, and Agboyi Ketu LCDa Chairman, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, led other members of conference 57.
Also present were White Cap Chiefs, Alaketu of Ketu, HRM Oba Isiaka Adio Balogun, and Olu of Agboyi Kingdom. HRM Oba Monsuru Abimbola Oladega Akinmasa1, Ologudu of Ogudu, Hrm Oba Mojeeb Fashola, representative of Olojota of Ojota, politicians, youths and student leaders, among many others.
They all wished him a long life and a peaceful reign on the throne of his forefathers.
The guests were serenaded by Kwame 1 while Larosh kitchen treated thousands of guests with sumptuous meal.
