The Child Protection Network (CPN) has announced the suspension of all physical rescue missions across Lagos State, citing rising security concerns in the country.
In an urgent security alert issued by the State General Secretary, Omoba Awofeso Rasheed, the organisation said the decision became necessary due to increased risks facing field operatives involved in rescue interventions.
According to the statement, all on-the-ground operations will remain suspended until further notice to ensure the safety of members and volunteers.
The organisation advised that all emergency and intervention requests should now be directed to relevant government agencies and official response channels.
CPN also urged members of the public and advocates to remain security conscious and exercise caution while awaiting further updates on the resumption of field activities.
The group expressed appreciation for the cooperation and understanding of its members during the suspension period.
