In a move aimed at promoting political inclusiveness and enhancing voter awareness ahead of the 2027 general elections, Kosofe Post has announced a special initiative to provide free media coverage for opposition candidates across Kosofe Federal Constituency and Lagos State.
The initiative is designed to address concerns about the limited visibility of opposition candidates and ensure that voters have access to information about a broad range of political actors, their backgrounds, and their policy priorities before casting their votes.

According to the Publisher of Kosofe Post, Bilesanmi Abayomi, the media has a responsibility to contribute to an informed electorate by creating opportunities for all candidates to present their ideas and programmes to the public.
“Our commitment is to ensure that the electorate has access to information about all choices on the ballot. By providing this platform at no cost, we hope to amplify diverse political voices and contribute to a more informed democratic process,” Abayomi said.
Eligible Political Parties
The opportunity is open to candidates contesting under the following political parties:
- African Democratic Congress (ADC)
- Action Congress of Citizens (ACC)
- Labour Party (LP)
- Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC)
- Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Submission Requirements
Interested candidates are invited to submit:
- A detailed profile highlighting their background, vision, policy priorities, and reasons for seeking public office.
- A high-resolution professional photograph suitable for publication.
Submission Deadline
All entries should be submitted via email to news@kosofepost.com on or before June 10, 2026.
Selected profiles will be professionally edited and published across Kosofe Post’s media platforms to increase public awareness and engagement.
The initiative reflects the platform’s commitment to civic education, political participation, and the promotion of a transparent and competitive democratic environment where voters can make informed choices based on adequate information about all candidates seeking elective office.
