Comrade Abiodun Lasiru Ogungbo, a former All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship aspirant for Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in the 2025 local government elections, has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Public Administration by the Lagos State University (LASU).
The doctorate was conferred on Wednesday during the university’s convocation ceremony, marking a significant milestone in Ogungbo’s academic and public service career.
The achievement has attracted widespread congratulations from family members, friends, political associates, supporters, and senior civil servants across Lagos State.
Many of the well-wishers described the academic feat as a reflection of Ogungbo’s dedication to personal development, leadership, and public service.
They noted that earning a doctorate while maintaining active involvement in politics and public administration demonstrates resilience, discipline, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Supporters also expressed optimism that the knowledge and expertise acquired through the programme would further enhance his contributions to governance and community development.
The former APC chairmanship aspirant has been actively involved in political mobilisation and grassroots development within Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, where he contested for the party’s ticket ahead of the 2025 local government elections.
