The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kosofe Federal Constituency, Mayor Dele Oshinowo (MDO), is set to hold a stakeholders’ meeting with Community Development Associations (CDAs) across the constituency as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to a notice circulating among community stakeholders, the meeting is expected to bring together 10 representatives from each CDA at the Kosofe Council Secretariat along Ogudu Road.
Although the official agenda of the meeting has not been publicly disclosed, the planned engagement is being viewed as part of Oshinowo’s efforts to deepen grassroots consultations and strengthen relationships with community leaders ahead of the commencement of the campaign season.
The development comes as the APC candidate steps up engagements with political and community stakeholders across the constituency.
The presidential and National Assembly campaign flag-off is scheduled for August 19, further heightening political activities within Kosofe and other constituencies across Lagos State.
Ahead of the proposed CDA meeting, Oshinowo has also held closed-door consultations with the three local government and council development area chairmen within the Kosofe Federal Constituency.
The consultations are seen by political observers as part of efforts to establish greater coordination among party leaders, elected officials and grassroots structures ahead of the formal commencement of campaigns.
The planned engagement with CDAs could provide Oshinowo with an opportunity to directly interface with community representatives across the constituency, particularly on issues affecting residents and the expectations surrounding the 2027 elections.
With campaign activities expected to gather momentum in the coming weeks, political stakeholders in Kosofe are increasingly turning their attention to grassroots mobilisation, stakeholder alignment and the ability of political actors to consolidate support across the constituency.
