The All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign in Kosofe Federal Constituency has intensified its grassroots outreach, with House of Representatives candidate Mayor Dele Oshinowo leading a series of community engagements across the constituency.
Campaigning under the banner of “Stronger Representation, Stronger Kosofe,” the Oshinowo campaign team has engaged trade groups, cooperative societies and Community Development Associations (CDAs) as part of efforts to mobilise support ahead of the 2027 elections.
Among the groups visited was the Otito Inu Cooperative Society, Alapere Branch, where members reportedly declared their support for the APC candidate. Campaign officials said the engagement would form part of wider consultations with the cooperative’s network across the constituency.
The campaign team also met with executive members and stakeholders of the Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria, Kosofe Branch. According to the campaign, the association expressed support for Oshinowo and his candidacy.
The outreach subsequently moved into residential communities, where Oshinowo and his team held town-hall-style engagements with residents and community executives across several areas.
The communities and CDAs visited included Agboyi 2 and Agboyi 3 CDAs, Irewolede and Ifesowapo CDAs, Agidi Community CDA, as well as Agboyi Estate, Aina Obe and Agboyi Road neighbourhoods.
Speaking on the outcome of the engagements, Oshinowo described grassroots mobilisation as a critical part of the campaign’s strategy and said the team would continue reaching communities across the constituency.
“It has become a critical assignment for us in Kosofe to sell the gospel of the APC, and that is why we are leaving no corner untouched,” Oshinowo said. “Kosofe is geared up, the people are ready, and as we continue to engage, mobilise, and connect with our people, we are confident that the numbers will speak loudly when the time comes.”
The campaign team said its voter engagement activities would continue across all wards in Kosofe Federal Constituency in the coming days.
