Ahead of the 2027 general elections, political stakeholders and community members in Kosofe Federal Constituency have continued to express support for Mayor Dele Oshinowo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the constituency in Lagos State.
The growing support has also taken a practical dimension, with some supporters proposing welfare initiatives targeted at mothers and children across the constituency.

The latest gesture was announced on social media by Farmer Akin Alabi, who offered campaign support on behalf of his associate, Olu Awolowo (@Donendy2003).
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, tagged to Oshinowo and local media platform KosofePost, Alabi said Awolowo was willing to donate specially branded, high-nutrition food products to support the campaign’s maternal and child-focused initiatives.
“Oga Mayor, I sent you a tweet some days back. My friend @Donendy2003 will love to donate his Nutritional Food Items for mother and children toward your campaign,” Alabi wrote.
An image accompanying the post showed a 500g pouch of “Fortified, Phytase Enriched MultiGrain Pap for School Age Children,” produced by Distrifoods Nigeria. The product packaging featured an image and campaign branding associated with Mayor Dele Oshinowo.
The proposed donation adds a welfare-focused dimension to the campaign’s growing grassroots engagement, as supporters seek to connect political mobilisation with initiatives addressing the needs of families and children in the constituency.
Oshinowo’s campaign has, in recent months, intensified engagements with community and political stakeholders across Kosofe ahead of the 2027 elections.
