The campaign of Mayor Dele Oshinowo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Kosofe Federal Constituency, has received expressions of support from grassroots associations and traditional leaders in the Agboyi-Ketu division of Lagos.
The engagements, held as part of the campaign’s ongoing grassroots outreach, focused on economic inclusion, social welfare and community development under the campaign’s “Stronger Representation, Stronger Kosofe” theme.
During a meeting with the Motor Mechanics and Technician Association of Nigeria (MOMTAN), Agboyi-Ketu Branch, campaign representatives outlined plans centred on economic inclusion and vocational support.
The association received the delegation and pledged its support for Oshinowo’s bid to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives.
The campaign team also met with members of the Senior Citizens and United Widows Association, Agboyi-Ketu Branch. Leaders of the association expressed appreciation for the candidate’s attention to social welfare issues, offered prayers and declared their support for his candidacy.
In another engagement, the campaign met with the Council of Baales in Agboyi-Ketu. The traditional chiefs offered prayers for Oshinowo and expressed support for the campaign’s vision, while also indicating their willingness to encourage community participation.
Speaking on the series of engagements, Oshinowo said the responses from the groups reflected growing interest in grassroots-focused representation.
“Across every engagement, one thing remains clear: the message is resonating, the people are listening, and the support is growing,” he said.
“We are taking the message of Stronger Representation, Stronger Kosofe everywhere, community by community, association by association.”
The APC candidate said the campaign would continue its grassroots consultations across the wards of the constituency in the coming weeks as it seeks to engage more community groups and local stakeholders ahead of the 2027 elections.
