At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ashafa as a distinguished “Man of the people” distributed food items, financial assistance to reduce the effects of the stay at home policy away from media publicity according to a reliable source who hinted Kosofe Post.
“Ashafa is a trusted and tested personality reached out at the critical time when many financially-comfortable public figures recoiled into their shells during the moment of the national emergency.”
The most performing senator in the history of Lagos East, Gbenga Ashafa, whose sterling record of achievements is yet to be surpassed, has maintained a long silent ever since the Lagos Senate seat became vacant as a result of an act of God.
However, Kosofe Post recently gathered from another source that the lawmaker is under extreme pressure to return and complete his progressive representation in the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
The philanthropist, Ashafa, born on July 22nd,1955 in Lagos is the proverbial golden fish with no hiding place.
Many appeals from the people of Lagos East on Ashafa to submit his letter of intent as requested by APC Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) latest a day after his 65th birthday.
