The Lagos Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, Assistant State Secretary, Femi saheed has been settled for as APC concensus candidate for Kosofe Constituency 2, Bye-Election.
During the week Kosofe Post learnt that the duo of Femi saheed and the Assistant State Publicity Secretary; Abiodun Salami considerations by the top hierarchy of the party in the state has been strongly mulled to compensate either one of them for their outstanding performances at the state chapter.
The stroke that seems to have broken the camel back was the alleged power tussle between the defunct mandate family leaders; Commisioner for Employment and Wealth Creation, Hon. (Mrs) Yetunde Arobieke, the two Lcda Chairmen, APC chieftain, PA. Steven Oyedele, others on one hand and Member; House of Representatives, representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye on one hand.
The heavy weight political gladiators walking and talking at cross purposes, lack of unity and inability to speak in voice among themselves hinted neccessiated the mandate given to the two member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) from Kosofe to pick consensus candidate among the aspirants;
Femi Saheed, Samuel Adebayo Olarenwaju, Gbenga Osobu, Abiodun Akhigbe, Ibrahim Kehinde Oladega, Doyin Johnson, Adeyinka Oyediran, Abiodun Salami, Yakub Balogun among others.
Kosofe Post unblemished multiple sources in politics disclosed that the GAC leaders; Otunba Bushira Alebiosu, Omoba Ademuyiwa Sosanya, has toed the path of APC state Secretariat by settling for Femi Saheed as the consensus candidate for Kosofe Constituency 2.
Recall, Kosofe Post earlier reported that Lagos East GAC members embraced the choice of Polaris Bank, Tokunbo Abiru as the party’s choice for Lagos East senatorial district bye election and many aspirants bowed to the party decision.
Femi Saheed, endorsement by the Lagos State Chapter of the Inter party Commitee (IPAC), was reported few days ago. FS as the final choice of the party is likely to be unveil officially in the coming days.
Party supremacy’s may consume or submerge several committed and loyal APC aspirants ambition. However, those who are not satisfied with the position of the party still have the opportunity to test their strength and popularity during primary election.
