The National Primary Health Care Development Agency has disclosed the commencement of an online registration of Nigerians interested in taking COVID-19 vaccination ahead of its arrival on Tuesday.
This was disclosed in a statement made on Twitter during the launching of the T.E.A.C.H Strategy, on Monday.
WHO representative, Dr. Kazadi Mulombo states that the T.E.A.C.H Strategy is organized to help ensure security, coordination and accountability of the COVID19Vaccine roll-out in Nigeria.
“We will ensure there is no falsification in the supply chain of the #COVID19vaccines. We will undertake regular pharmacovigilance activities to ensure there are no side effects of the vaccine, the director general of NAFDAC disclosed this at the Inauguration of the T.E.A.C.H strategy.
The CEO of the National primary health care development agency, Dr. Faisal Shuaib stated that the agency have provided an e-registration link to enable Nigerians to register for the COVID-19 Vaccine themselves, obtain their pre-vaccination numbers and schedule their preferred date and time for vaccination.
The agency however made it known that the front line health workers will be the first beneficiary of the first phase of the #COVID19Vaccine roll-out in Nigeria, which include; COVID-19 rapid response teams, lab network, petrol station workers and strategic leaders.
Nigerians also took to the street of social media to express their difficulty in registering as some states were not included, while some didn’t receiver registration number.
