The People’s Democratic Party 2019 Lagos East Senatorial candidate, Abiodun Oyefusi has mocked Babatunde Gbadamosi over dismissed case against Senator Tokunbo Abiru.

The presiding judge, Chuka Obiozor, upheld the arguments by Abiru’s lawyer, Kemi Pinheiro, on Monday that the PDP’s case was statute-barred.

The judge disagreed with the PDP’s argument that the Independent National Electoral Commission cannot transfer a voter’s registration details.
The PDP’s candidate, Babatunde Gbadamosi dragged Senator Tokunbo to the Federal High court asking the court to disqualify him on the ground of non-qualification. However, the court dismissed BOG case.

BOG pulled over 600 votes to emerge as PDP candidate. However, Abiodun who came last among the four contestants with less than 10 votes during the party Bye-Election primary has since reacted to the court judgment and mocked BOG, PDP for embarking on academic exercise.

Her reaction reads, “At last now Lagos PDP can draw a line under a useless and meaningless and disgraceful case in the first instant. For all those quoting electorate laws in a bizarre way to mislead members – I pray you stop this bastardization of both our democracy and judicial systems.’

“Instead of candidate using party money in a meaningful way to conduct and win election, they foolishly decided to use it to line the pockets of an already rich SAN. Nonsense! She declared.

Meanwhile, BOG has gone to appeal the judgment as earlier published.
