Having fulfilled all requirements in line with the law, the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission has declared Mayor Dele Oshinowo as the winner of the chairmaship election held in Agboyi-Ketu today.
The announcement was made by the Returning Officer of the Election, Odufunwa Omoniyi Adebukola.
Oshinowo, who contested under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, polled a total of 26,771 votes to defeat his closest rival of the Peoples Democratic party, Dahunsi Olawale, who got 2,749 votes.
Speaking shortly after his declaration, the joyful chairman told the multitude of well-wishers who attended the announcement session that he won’t disappoint the industrious people of the locality for rewarding him with a sweeping victory.
