Group organise stepdown training for key stakeholders on Child Protection, Advocacy Planning in Lagos

The Rule of Law and Anti corruption, ROLAC with Child Protection Network organize a one-day stepdown training for key stakeholders on Child Protection and Advocacy Planning for Lagos.

The training, which was held at Kosofe Local Government Secretariat Hall along Ogudu Road, penultimate month was attended by the security agents, Community Development Associations, Christian Association of Nigeria, League of Alfa and Imams, Market women and men, NGOs, other key stakeholders in the state.

Child Protection, Case Management, Referral Pathway and Advocacy Planning were key areas the stakeholders were trained on.

Awofeso while speaking at the training gave chronological background of CPN and the successes recorded by the organization so far geared towards curbing all forms of abuses against the children.

Speaking to journalists after the training, Mrs. Juliet Olumuyiwa Rufai from Mirabel Centre of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital noted that, “we are happy to hold this programme today to bring all stakeholders, representatives of all communities.

The Force; The Nigeria Police force, paramilitary, religious leaders, Traditional leaders, communities, leaders and opinion leaders. Sothat, we can address the issue of Child Protection.

“It’s high time we end all forms of Child abuses and provide support to children who are been abused that’s the essence of this programme, and we are happy as we called they responded we had good discussion today to forge ahead on how our children will be protected and how those suffering abuses will be supported,” Ikeja CPN member, Juliet said.
