The lawmaker representing Lagos East Senatorial District at the National Assembly,
Tokunbo Abiru has assured residents of Eruwen that its deplorable will receive prompt attention.
According to this medium preliminary findings, Eruwen road was allegedly awarded to an unnamed contractor who did a shady job that couldn’t stand the test of time.
Residents who confided in this medium disclosed that a flood washed away Eruwen road shortly after completion some years ago.
Over the years, the residents have embarked on different palliative measures to make the road motorable because it appeared no Government present in the Community.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Community joint Community Development Associations reportedly constructed drainage ducts and grade the over 5Km road without the Local and State government intervention.
However, putting the road in a better shape is now beyond what the Community can single-handedly execute and implement without Government.
Senator Tokunbo has assured motorists, residents, and other affected road users that the major road will be given the necessary attention.
Abiru’s in his swift reaction through his Instagram page said,” This road is very important to us. We are working assiduously to ensure it receives prompt attention.”
