Prince Ashimiu Modiu a candidate for Oloworo throne has urged Oworonshoki kingmakers to emulates Ibadan succession principle.

Modiu made the remarks to the Kosofe Post while reacting to Olubadan of Ibadan unique succession principle, devoid of wranglings and manipulations by constituted authority.

Modiu who is from Kajola Royal family from Oworonshoki Kingdom area of Kosofe Local Government, said succession principle was as a result of respect for rotational arrangement laid down by the traditional institutions and the ruling house involved.

“Can you see orderliness, this is as a result of respect for rotational arrangement lay down by the royal/ruling house involved. Oworo take a clue.”

Apparently speaking on the selection process of the next Oloworo of Oworo noted no interference from any king, He urged Osolo of Isolo, Hrm Kabiru Agbabiaka who earlier raised the hand of Prince Nurudeen Olalekan Saliu as Oba Elect of Oworonshoki to act more wisely.

In his words, he states, “nobody from the Alafin Oyo house raise the hand of the late olubadan son up as next in line. Osolo wise up.”
