Former Minister of Defense, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro may constest for Lagos State Governorship seat in 2023
Senator Musiliu Obanikoro who recently hold stakeholders meeting with his numerous supporters said he will not sit idle in 2023 and 2023 will be his final shot at any elective position.
He made this disclosure on Arise TV Morning Show monitored by the Kosofe Post recently.
“I am reflecting and consulting, but rest reassured that we are not going to be seating idle in 2023,” Obanikoro said.
“We have acquired these experiences overtime, we have to put it to use. I am in 60s now, I don’t want to be contesting when I am approaching 70, or after 70. This maybe probably may last Election in terms of contesting an election.”
The 62 years old Lagos State born political veteran who has served as Local Government Chairman, Commissioner, Ambassador, Senator, Board Chairman, Minister, and 2007 People’s Democratic Party Governorship candidate among others, said he is an indigene of Lagos State and thinking about 2023 General elections.
He added,”I am eminently qualified to be governor of this state, Lagos state.”
