On Tuesday, March 5, the Ikeja High Court, presided over by Justice A. Oluyemi, halted the installation of the Oloworo Elect, Prince Nurudeen Olalekan Saliu, Elebo 2, after he refused to lift the substituting injunction that had prevented his official appointment.
The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respondents’ counsel, led by Mrs. Olanrewaju, who was not satisfied with the long adjourned date of July 7, appealed to the court to lift the injunction, which was turned down.
If the judge grants the defendant’s request, Prince Nurudeen Olalekan Saliu, Elebo 2, may be announced and presented with an appointment letter and staff of office as Oloworo of Oworo while the main suit is still pending.

According to this medium, the Elebo ruling house, led by His Royal Majestic Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Kolawole, and Alani Adelaja Agbabiaka, elected prince Nurudeen Olalekan Saliu as Oloworo Elect to fill the vacant stool.
The attempted installation of Prince Nurudeen of the Elebo Royal family prompted the applicant, Ajisegiri, to file a legal action against the latter, claiming that he was not entitled to the throne after his father reigned for approximately 22 years.
Despite the Supreme Court judgements that conceded vast land in Oworonshoki Kingdom to the Elebo Royal family, Ajisegiri’s family described them as their tenants. They further claimed that the late Monarch, while fighting to become the Jagunmolu of Shomolu before Kosofe Local Government was created, only bought a half plot of land from their forefathers as a customary tenant to become a landlord.
As claims and counterclaims continue to trail the Oloworo stool, it’s only a court of competent jurisdiction that can resolve the logjam.
