Oladimeji Ahmed docked for threatening to kill landlady, 12 others

(NAN) 55-year-old man, Oladimeji Ahmed, who allegedly threatened to kill his landlady and 12 others, was on Tuesday docked in an Ogudu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State.

The police charged Ahmed, who is resides in Mile 12, Lagos with breach of peace, threat to kill and public nuisance.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Prosecution Counsel, Insp Sunday Bassey, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 28 at the Mile 12 area of Lagos.

He said that the defendant threatened to kill his landlady, Mrs Kudirat Oyebanjo over a misunderstanding in the compound over loud music.

The prosecutor told the court that the defendant also told the landlady that she was responsible for her late husband’s death.

The prosecution said that the defendant was not a legal tenant and has been owing since 2019.

Bassey also said that the defendant also threatened to kill twelve other people.

The offence, he said, contravenes the provisions of sections 56(1a) 157(e) and 168(d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Magistrate O. A Daodu admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

She adjourned the case until April 14 for mention.
